About Cozumel

Cozumel is the Caribbean's snorkeling and diving capital — a flat, friendly island off Mexico's Yucatán ringed by some of the clearest water and healthiest coral in the hemisphere. Ships dock at one of three piers along the calm leeward coast, steps from beach clubs, tequila tastings, and dive shops, while the mainland ferry opens the door to Maya ruins like Tulum. It's an easy, sunny port where you can do as much or as little as you like.

Cozumel's reefs run along the calmer leeward (west) side where the ships dock — book your snorkeling here rather than crossing to the mainland, and you'll be in the water within 20 minutes of stepping off the ship.
