About Haugesund

Haugesund is a relaxed western-Norway port with deep Viking roots — this is the 'Homeland of the Viking Kings,' where Norway's first king, Harald Fairhair, is memorialized by a towering monument. A breezy quayside town, it's also a gateway to the soaring Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and the lush island scenery and waterfalls of the surrounding fjords. Easygoing and authentically Norwegian.
