About Royal Beach Clubsm Lelepa

Royal Beach Club Lelepa is Royal Caribbean's curated beach-club destination on Lelepa Island, a small, largely forested island in Havannah Harbour just north of Efate, Vanuatu — about 30 minutes by tender from Port Vila. It follows the model of Royal Caribbean's other private beach-club destinations: a dedicated day-pass experience that blends a pristine natural setting with Royal Caribbean-managed beach facilities, local cultural touches, and the island's clear, calm waters. The surrounding Havannah Harbour is renowned as one of the most sheltered and beautiful natural anchorages in the South Pacific, with excellent snorkelling on the surrounding reefs.

💡
Insider Tip

Havannah Harbour is one of the most naturally sheltered anchorages in the South Pacific, which means the snorkelling conditions are almost always calm and the water clarity is excellent. If you have any interest in the underwater world, bring or hire snorkel gear — even a short swim from the beach will reveal healthy coral and reef fish without any boat required.

Highlights
🏖
Private Beach and Lagoon Swimming
The centrepiece of the Royal Beach Club Lelepa experience — a stretch of beach on Lelepa's sheltered lagoon side with clear, calm, warm water, managed beach facilities, and loungers. The calm anchorage water is suitable for all ages and swimming abilities.
🤿
Reef Snorkelling in Havannah Harbour
The reefs surrounding Lelepa Island support healthy coral gardens with reef fish, sea turtles, and vivid hard corals — one of the reasons Havannah Harbour was chosen as the site. Snorkel gear is available for hire on the island.
🌊
Non-Motorised Watersports
Kayaks, paddleboards, and other non-motorised craft are typically available from the beach, giving guests a way to explore the calm, sheltered harbour waters around the island at their own pace.
🎭
Local Ni-Vanuatu Cultural Experiences
Royal Beach Club Lelepa incorporates cultural programming from the local community, offering guests an introduction to Ni-Vanuatu crafts, music, and kastom traditions in a welcoming, facilitated setting.
🍹
Beach Bar and Local Cuisine
On-site food and beverage service including tropical cocktails, fresh fruit, and dishes drawing on local Vanuatu ingredients — designed to give guests a taste of the island alongside familiar cruise-style beach-club service.
Local Food & Drink
  • Fresh tropical fruit platters — papaya, pineapple, and coconut sourced from Efate and the nearby islands, served at the beach bar.
  • Local-inspired seafood — dishes featuring fresh reef fish and coconut-based preparations reflecting Vanuatu's culinary traditions.
  • Tropical cocktails with local flavour — cocktails incorporating coconut water, fresh lime, and locally grown tropical fruit alongside standard cruise bar options.
  • Lap-lap and coconut-based snacks — when the cultural programming includes food, guests may sample Vanuatu's traditional banana-leaf-baked dishes prepared by the local community.
Shore Excursion Ideas
1 Guided reef snorkel — join a guided snorkel from the beach to the best coral heads and turtle-sighting spots in Havannah Harbour.
2 Kayak exploration of the harbour — paddle along the island's coastline and into the coves of the sheltered anchorage.
3 Stand-up paddleboard session — the calm lagoon water is ideal for beginners and a peaceful way to see the island from the water.
4 Cultural village visit and kastom demonstration — if offered as part of the day's programming, a guided walk to meet the local Lelepa community.
5 Beach relaxation with a local cocktail — simply finding a lounger, a drink, and a view of one of the Pacific's most beautiful anchorages.
