About Zadar

Zadar is a Dalmatian old town on a compact peninsula, layering Roman ruins and Romanesque churches with two of Croatia's most original modern artworks — the wave-powered Sea Organ and the solar Sun Salutation. Less crowded than Dubrovnik or Split, it's a relaxed, atmospheric port and the gateway to the waterfalls of Plitvice and Krka national parks.
