Celebrity Xcel is the fifth Edge-class cruise ship built by Celebrity Cruises. She is sister ship of Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Beyond, and Celebrity Ascent. The ship was constructed at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard and delivered in October 2025.
What makes it special: Celebrity Xcel is the fifth Edge-class ship in Celebrity's fleet, debuting in late 2024 with refined iterations of the revolutionary design innovations first introduced on Celebrity Edge. The ship features the iconic Magic Carpet — a cantilevered floating platform that moves between decks serving as a restaurant, bar, and embarkation point — along with the transformative Eden space and an industry-leading suite experience through The Retreat.
