The pier sits right at a shopping-and-dining village, but the real magic is offshore: the surreal granite boulders of The Baths on neighbouring Virgin Gorda, mellow Cane Garden Bay, and the beach bars of Jost Van Dyke. It's a laid-back, boat-oriented port.
The Baths are the iconic experience, but they're on Virgin Gorda — book the ferry excursion rather than expecting to reach them from Tortola on your own. If you'd rather stay put, Cane Garden Bay is the easy on-island beach.
