About Legend of the Seas

Legend of the Seas is the third Icon-class cruise ship of the Royal Caribbean fleet when it debuts in July 2026, joining its sister ships Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas. Legend of the Seas is under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland. After its summer 2026 season in the Western Mediterranean, Legend of the Seas will offer its primary sailing of the Western Caribbean operating out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

What makes it special: Legend of the Seas was the first ship in Royal Caribbean's Vision class when she debuted in 1995, pioneering the use of extensive glass walls and the iconic Viking Crown Lounge that became a fleet hallmark. She was an early recipient of the rock climbing wall, one of the first cruise ships in the world to feature this amenity. The ship has spent much of her later career sailing non-US itineraries and was transferred out of the Royal Caribbean fleet.
