About Halifax

Halifax is the salty, welcoming capital of Nova Scotia and the hub of a Canada/New England cruise. A walkable waterfront boardwalk links a star-shaped hilltop citadel, the moving Titanic and immigration museums, and fresh-off-the-boat lobster. Beyond the city lie the iconic lighthouse at Peggy's Cove and the colourful UNESCO town of Lunenburg.

Insider Tip

Everything downtown is walkable from the ship — the Citadel, the boardwalk, and Pier 21 fill a great DIY day. If you want the postcard, Peggy's Cove is the classic excursion; come in late September or October for the famous fall colours.
